There are so many options, an overwhemling amount really, for freelancers to manage their business. We often have
people ask "Why use giddyapp?". There are a number of reasons and we realize that giddyapp isn't for everyone. Here are
a few of the main things we think set us apart.
We’re a small business too!
We know that starting a business can be a mix of excitement, fear, and anxiety. You want to do your
own thing, you’ve got the chops but sometimes the intricacies of starting and managing a business
(the "business side of business") can be overwhelming and difficult to navigate. For us, those tasks suck the
fun out of starting a business. We’ve started a small web design development company that was
just us, later we were one part of a small agency, we’ve worked on creative design and
development teams that grew from 15 people to almost 100 in a short period of time. We’ve seen a
lot of the headaches and growing pains of business but we've also seen how difficult it is to find
software that “just works”. Most business software for creatives requires adhering
to someone else’s flavor of business management. So we're building our own.
Your business is your livelihood, we get it. This isn’t just a job to us, just like your
business isn’t just a job to you. We genuinely believe that for giddyapp to succeed, we
have to provide quantifiable ways to help you succeed in your business. We are truly in this together.
Keep the main thing the main thing
We aren’t looking to get into lemonade stands... or any other business. What does that mean for you? Our main business is helping you with your business. We aren’t getting into data analytics, selling ads, farming data, or any other secondary stuff that brings in more money but compromises our trust with you. We are keeping our eye on the ball – building the best client management system for you.
This is your stuff
There are a lot of bits floating around out there and it’s pretty tough keeping track of them all.
We aren’t digging around in your data nor are we selling it. Your data is your data, period. If you
decide you don't want us to have your data anymore, let us know. We'll delete it.
